Terms of use and service
1. General
These terms govern the use of the website applied.lt (the Site) and set out the general principles of the services provided by Applied AI Labs (we, us). The Site is operated and the services are provided by Dirbtinio proto vizija, MB (trading as Applied AI Labs), company code 306377872, Verkių g. 39-349, LT-09109 Vilnius, Lithuania, email labas@applied.lt.
By using the Site you accept these terms. The specific scope, price and timeline of any service are set out in a separate agreement, order confirmation or public-procurement documents. Where an agreement and these terms differ, the agreement prevails. The Lithuanian version of these terms is the authoritative one; this English version is provided for convenience.
2. Site content
The Site is informational. Information about the EU AI Act, the GDPR and other legislation is general and is not legal advice. Consult a lawyer about your organisation's specific obligations. We make every effort to keep the information accurate and current but do not warrant that it is complete or error-free in every case.
Programme durations, group sizes and formats shown on the Site are typical values; each programme is adapted to the client's needs and confirmed in the agreement. Nothing on the Site constitutes a binding offer.
3. Services
We provide three kinds of service: AI training for organisational teams, AI diagnostics (an audit of business processes) and AI development. The free 30-minute readiness and compliance assessment and the one-page summary that follows it are introductory and create no obligation on either side to enter into an agreement.
4. Ordering and agreement
- Services are ordered by signing a written agreement or by confirming a proposal by email. Public-sector clients are served under public-procurement documents and an agreement concluded in accordance with the Lithuanian Law on Public Procurement.
- The proposal specifies the programme scope, duration, number of participants, format, date, price and the list of documents to be delivered.
- Training dates and venues are agreed in writing at least 10 working days before the training.
5. Prices and payment
- Prices are quoted in euros. The proposal states whether VAT is added. The training price includes programme preparation, delivery, the documentation pack and 30 days of post-training support unless the proposal states otherwise.
- Invoices are issued after the service is delivered and are payable within 14 calendar days unless the agreement sets a different term. Public-sector clients are invoiced through the state e-invoicing system (SABIS), with payment terms set in the agreement.
- Travel, accommodation or venue hire, where the client requests them, are agreed separately and are not included in the training price.
6. Rescheduling and cancellation
- The client may reschedule a training date free of charge with at least 5 working days' notice. For later changes we may charge up to 30% of the training price for preparation time, unless the agreement provides otherwise.
- If training is cancelled with less than 2 working days' notice or participants do not attend, the service is deemed to have been prepared for delivery and 50% of the training price is payable, unless the agreement provides otherwise.
- If we have to reschedule (trainer illness, force majeure), we offer a new date within 10 working days; if it does not suit, we refund any advance paid.
7. Our commitment on results
We commit that every training participant finishes with a working result from their own real work task. If the client notifies us in writing within 10 working days of the training that participants did not achieve such a result, we run an additional session of up to 2 hours for that team at no charge. This commitment does not apply to participants who attended less than half of the training time.
8. Client obligations
- To provide the information about the team, tasks and tools needed for the training, and material for programme preparation that the client is permitted to share.
- To ensure participants have access to the tools used in training (for example the organisation's Microsoft 365 or other accounts), or to agree in advance that the training will use test accounts.
- Not to bring data that cannot be disclosed to third parties into training exercises, unless agreed in advance and anonymised.
9. Intellectual property
Training materials, programmes, reference cards, templates and Site content are our intellectual property. The client receives a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use training materials for its own internal purposes. The materials may not be sold, published or used to train other organisations without our written consent. Material provided by the client, and the client's work products created during training (documents, automations), belong to the client.
10. Confidentiality and data
All information about the client's operations, processes and documents obtained while preparing and delivering training is treated as confidential and used only to provide the services. We sign a non-disclosure agreement on request. Personal data is processed in accordance with our privacy policy; where we process the client's employees' data on the client's instructions during training, the parties conclude a data-processing agreement.
11. Limitation of liability
- Training and its documentation help an organisation meet the staff AI-literacy obligation in Article 4 of the EU AI Act, but the organisation remains responsible for its overall legal compliance. We do not guarantee any particular finding by a supervisory authority.
- We are not liable for decisions the client takes on the basis of training materials or Site information, nor for the operation, pricing or terms of AI tools controlled by third parties.
- Our liability for direct loss is limited to the price of the relevant agreement. We are not liable for indirect loss or lost profit, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
12. Free checklist and emails
The checklist "10 questions before rolling out AI in your organisation" is provided free of charge and without warranty; it is for orientation, not a basis for decisions. By requesting it you agree to receive occasional emails about AI training; you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in an email or by writing to us.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms and our services are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania. Disputes are first addressed by negotiation; if no agreement is reached within 30 days, the dispute is resolved by the courts of the Republic of Lithuania at our registered location in Vilnius, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version is published on the Site with its effective date. Agreements already concluded remain subject to the version in force when they were made.
